In a community of several hundred Muslim families surrounded by a predominantly Christian population, the absence of a mosque posed a major challenge.
Moreover, the long distance to the nearest mosque made it difficult to observe daily congregational and Friday prayers, while the lack of a central place for Islamic learning left families without essential religious guidance.
Without a local mosque, future generations risked losing their faith and assimilating into the religion of the broader community, highlighting the urgent need for a dedicated space for worship, education, and community support.

In 2024, we successfully funded the construction of a fully equipped mosque with a water well in this area. God-willing, its impact will be profound and far-reaching:
Worship: A dedicated prayer space for 350- 400 worshippers, with a growing congregation.
Education: A central location for Quran and Islamic studies for children and adults.
Dawah: Serving as a place for interfaith dialogue and understanding with the broader Christian community.
Support: Functioning as a centre for charitable efforts, food distribution, and social welfare for struggling families.
Ongoing Reward (Sadaqah Jariyah): Donors will be rewarded (hasanat) for every prayer, lesson and act of worship at the mosque.

Alhamdulillah, this is 1 of 99 mosques which is now complete.
